Beginner Sewing Garments with Bondi Tee
This class is perfect for a very beginner student working on their first clothing item or someone who would like to do the Bondi shirt in a group! This is a fairly straightforward pattern that will introduce dealing with side seams, a pleat, curved hem, and a collar.
If new to buying fabric for clothing just let any employee working at the shop that you need help picking fabric for this pattern and they will direct you to the right materials and help you figure out how much you will need.
The class is a total of three hours in one session.
Purchasing this class provides you with the teaching time and the pattern. You will also need to purchase the amount of fabric needed for the size of shirt you wish to make from SEAMS. We require the purchase of fabric from SEAMS since the class price is entirely in support of the teacher. The SEAMS Team greatly appreciates you supporting both the teacher and the store.
This class is a bring your own machine class. If you are unfamiliar with using your machine please book an one hour "Get to Know Your Machine" one on one class by emailing events@seamsfabric.com.
There is one machine available to borrow in class if you do not have your own. Please email events@seamsfabric.com if you wish to use this machine it is first come first serve.
Before the Class begins:
- Please purchase fabric needed from Seams.
- Trace out pattern in appropriate size before coming to class.
- Prewash, dry, and iron fabric before class.

- Matching Thread
If you need help tracing your pattern please stop by the shop to ask an employee for help. We will also set up a table in the back that can be used if you don't have enough room at home.
