Learning To Sew - Beginner Series #1 - Ultimate Beginner with Amber at Kalamazoo

In this class you will get to all the beginner basics of learning to sew. This is a two hour class in one session.
Skills learned in this class:
- Basics components of a sewing machine.
- How to wind a bobbin.
- Threading a sewing machine.
- Sewing with a straight stitch.
- Basic but essential tools.
- Creating two simple coasters.
You do not need to bring any tools or materials of your own for this class! We provide the sewing machines, and all tools and supplies necessary for this class.
This class is open to both children and adults; for any human over the age of 14, we consider you an adult student. If would would like to schedule for a child under the age of 14 we ask that an adult accompany the child with an additional ticket.

Instructor Bio: | Amber is a Fiber artist that started out as a garment sewist, and gradually tried everything until she ended up with her current focus on three dimensional machine embroidery. She is a disability advocate, and strives to provide comfortable, supportive instruction to any student she teaches so that anyone can achieve success in sewing. She loves simple, easy-gratification makes, and the Ogden Cami is one of her favorite closet-staples; she has made over 25 of them already! |
