Knot Bag Class with Amber in Kalamazoo
Join Amber in Kalamazoo to whip up a delightfully quick Japanese Knot Bag by Sewn Wyoming patterns - our most popular bag pattern to date! With two size options, this little handbag is cleverly assembled and perfect for projects, lunches, eco-friendly gift wrapping, travel, and more. We'll guide you through each step, ensuring you leave with a great handmade bag.
This class is open to beginner sewists and up. Throughout this process you'll learn how to:
- Sew a curved seam
- Insert a cheeky lining
- Clip and grade seams
- Finish with a clean topstitch
Both the pattern and materials required for this class are included. We do have pre-assembled colorway kits available, otherwise you may choose to make your own from our shop fabrics and tags.

| Instructor Bio: | Amber is a Fiber artist that started out as a garment sewist, and gradually tried everything until she ended up with her current focus on three dimensional machine embroidery. She is a disability advocate, and strives to provide comfortable, supportive instruction to any student she teaches so that anyone can achieve success in sewing. She loves simple, easy-gratification makes, and the Ogden Cami is one of her favorite closet-staples; she has made over 25 of them already! |
